SaveFamily launches Slim 2 smartwatch for children
Spanish technology company SaveFamily has introduced Slim 2, a smartwatch designed as an alternative to early smartphone use for children. The device aims to provide children with independence and communication tools while delaying access to social networks and digital content.
Key features of the Slim 2 include voice and video calling, a front-facing camera, and GPS for real-time location tracking. Safety functions include an SOS button for automatic calls and geofencing, which allows parents to set safe zones and receive movement alerts. A dedicated app enables contact management and a school mode to minimize distractions during lessons.
The device is built with a customizable design, Panda Glass protection, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. To protect minor privacy, SaveFamily stated that all collected data is stored within the European Union.
