Savignano sul Panaro lodging facility ordered to close for 15 days

The Police Commissioner of Modena, Lucio Pennella, has ordered the 15-day closure of a lodging facility in Savignano sul Panaro. The decision follows inspections conducted by the State Police and the Carabinieri.

Authorities identified several critical issues, including serious fire safety inadequacies and repeated failures to register guests in the ‘Alloggiati Web’ portal. Furthermore, investigations revealed that the establishment is frequently visited by individuals with criminal records related to narcotics, creating a concrete risk to public order and safety.

The owner had previously received a 7-day closure order for similar issues. The current measure aims to prevent social danger and serve as a deterrent, while local patrols continue to monitor the area to ensure compliance.
