Savina Monastery hosts Svetouspenska Academy for 13th Square of Cyrillic
The 13th Square of Cyrillic concluded with the Svetouspenska Academy held at the Savina Monastery portico. The event took place on August 27, on the eve of the Dormition of the Mother of God.
Speakers included Metropolitan Joanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral, as well as Professors Đorđe Bubalo and Mikonja Knežević. The academic discussions focused on the phototypic edition of the 'Six Days of Nikonas of Jerusalem'—manuscript books from the Savina Monastery collection—and the life of Bishop Gerasim Petranović.
Metropolitan Joanikije praised the scholarly work of Bubalo and Knežević, noting that their research into the monastery's manuscripts serves as a significant testament to Serbian language and Cyrillic script. He also highlighted Professor Knežević’s study on the spirituality and culture of the 14th and 15th centuries.
