Savio sets impressive Tottenham debut amid De Zerbi goal challenge

Tottenham Hotspur winger Savio made an impactful debut during a 5-1 Carabao Cup victory over Charlton Athletic. After joining the club in an £85 million transfer from Manchester City, the 22-year-old entered the match in the 71st minute and scored an 82nd-minute goal. A subsequent shot from the Brazilian was deflected off Ben Davies and into the net shortly after.

Following the performance, head coach Roberto De Zerbi set a seasonal target for Savio, challenging him to score between 10 and 12 goals. De Zerbi noted that while Savio possesses elite qualities as a winger, increasing his goal output is essential for the team to compete at a higher level than the previous season.

Other notable moments in the match included goals from Dominic Solanke, Kevin Danso, and academy graduate Mikey Moore. Additionally, a loan deal for Mikey Moore to Bundesliga side Koln has been agreed upon to facilitate his development.
