Saviynt launches data residency solution in Saudi Arabia
Saviynt has introduced a new data residency solution in Saudi Arabia to help organizations comply with the Kingdom’s Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). The Enterprise Identity Cloud solution is hosted on Google Cloud’s Dammam region, allowing sensitive identity data—including user information, access permissions, and approval records—to remain within national borders.
The deployment targets government entities, financial institutions, energy companies, and telecommunications firms that must navigate strict regulatory requirements regarding cross-border data transfers. Under the PDPL, unauthorized transfers or breaches can result in fines of up to SAR 5 million.
As Saudi organizations increasingly integrate artificial intelligence and cloud services, the company noted that identity security is becoming a critical control plane for managing access across employees, applications, and AI agents.
