Savoie: Police use Taser to stop dog attacking mail carrier

A mail carrier for La Poste was attacked and bitten on the legs by a Malinois dog in Savoie, France. The incident occurred in the commune of La Ravoire, near Chambéry.

Despite commands from its owner, the dog refused to release the victim. Local municipal police officers intervened by using a Taser (electric impulse gun) to subdue the animal, which eventually forced the dog to let go and flee the scene.

According to Joséphine Kudin, a municipal official and security delegate, the attack was exceptionally violent. This marks the second time in recent months that a postal worker has faced a dog attack in the area, following a similar incident in late September.
