Savona hosts cultural events on Apple history and artist Giuseppe Bozzano

Cultural events in Savona include a historical presentation on Apple and a new research volume on 19th-century painter Giuseppe Bozzano.

To mark the 50th anniversary of Apple, the All About Apple Museum is hosting the final session of the ‘AAApple 50’ series. Computer historian Giovanni A. Cignoni will discuss the pivotal period between 1976 and 1977, when the company transitioned from a garage startup to a major Silicon Valley entity. The event also features the presentation of the book ‘Apple, 50 years ago: a story that concerns everyone,’ which examines the company's evolution and logo changes.

Additionally, art historian Silvia Bottaro has released a new book dedicated to the life and works of Giuseppe Bozzano (1815–1861). The research reconstructs the career of the Savona-born painter, who specialized in fresco techniques during the transition from Neoclassicism to Romanticism. Bozzano's work spanned several Italian cities, including Genoa, Turin, and Rome, with a focus on religious iconography.
