Savonlinna launches ‘Laulava kunta’ community singing project

Savonlinna is launching the ‘Laulava kunta’ (Singing Municipality) project, aimed at fostering community and well-being through music. The project’s kickoff event is scheduled for September 6 at Joel Lehtonen Park, featuring community singing and choral performances by groups such as the Iloinen children's choir and the Savonlinna choir.

As part of the initiative, all schools in Savonlinna have been invited to participate in a collective singing event on September 4, where students will sing the ‘Savonlinna Waltz’. The project is part of the fourth Savonlinna Choral Festival and is supported by the national ‘Kaikki laulaa’ (Everyone Sings) initiative.
