Savvas Katsounis appointed as new Ilisiakos basketball coach

Savvas Katsounis has been announced as the new coach of Ilisiakos, marking an emotional return to the club where he began his basketball career. Katsounis, who played for the team from youth levels through the senior division, stated that he could not refuse the opportunity to help the organization during a difficult period.

The team is currently facing significant challenges, having nearly decided not to compete in the league this season. Following the loss of all players from the previous year, the current roster consists of a few experienced players alongside very young, talented individuals lacking professional experience. Katsounis expressed his commitment to helping the team stabilize and regain its footing.
