SAVX develops MERKÜT magazine system for kamikaze drones
SAVX, a subsidiary of Titra Teknoloji under Pasifik Teknoloji, has developed the MERKÜT magazine system designed to enhance the operational efficiency of FPV kamikaze drones. The system allows multiple drones to be held in a ready-to-use state, functioning similarly to ammunition in a weapon magazine.
Drones are arranged on vertical shelves within the system. When the top drone is deployed, the next one automatically moves into position to be ready for immediate use. Each MERKÜT magazine can hold eight FPV kamikaze drones. By placing four magazines within concrete positions, a total of 32 drones can be kept mission-ready at a single location.
The system is designed for versatility; it can be used in fixed positions or buried underground for camouflage. It can also be controlled remotely without the need for an operator in the immediate vicinity, aiming to provide a surprise element on the battlefield. The MERKÜT concept was recently utilized for the first time during the Ateş Serbest joint exercise, which aims to demonstrate the firepower and coordination of the Turkish Armed Forces.
