Sławomir Ćwik appointed Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment

Sławomir Ćwik has been appointed as the new Secretary of State at the Ministry of Climate and Environment in Poland. Minister Paulina Hennig-Kloska presented the appointment on September 5, though Ćwik is scheduled to officially assume his duties on September 14.

Ćwik, a 54-year-old lawyer, entrepreneur, and politician, is a member of the X term of the Sejm representing Unia Centrum. His professional background includes legal and managerial roles in commercial companies and business experience in the renewable energy sector. He is an alumnus of UMCS in Lublin and holds postgraduate tax studies from the Warsaw School of Economics.

This appointment follows the resignation of Mikołaj Dorożała, who previously served as Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment and Chief Conservator of Nature.
