Saxon releases new single Medusa and announces tour dates

British heavy metal band Saxon has released “Medusa,” the second single from their upcoming studio album, Gods of Thunder. The track, inspired by Greek mythology, was produced by frontman Biff Byford and mixed by Andy Sneap.

To support the release, the band has announced several initiatives, including a competition to win a signed Medusa-themed guitar and a series of HMV in-store signing sessions across the UK featuring Biff Byford, Doug Scarratt, and Brian Tatler.

Looking ahead to 2027, Saxon has confirmed details for their Gods of Thunder World Tour. The UK and Ireland legs will feature Los Angeles heavy metal veterans Armored Saint as special guests. Additionally, the band has added European tour dates in Brussels, Zürich, Cologne, and Tilburg.
