Saxony-Anhalt police cite 40% of trucks and buses for violations during traffic week

During a large‑scale traffic control operation in Saxony‑Anhalt, police inspected a majority of trucks and buses operating in the state. Almost 40 % of the vehicles examined were found to be in breach of regulations. Violations of social‑labour rules were the most common infractions, according to the police report.

The action, described as a "Kontrollwoche", aims to enforce compliance among commercial road transport operators and improve safety on the region’s highways.
