Saxony delegation visits Lazio prisons and security facilities

An institutional delegation from the Free State of Saxony visited several correctional facilities and security measure residences in the Lazio region on September 23 and 24, 2026. The visit was led by Saxony's Minister of Justice, Constanze Geiert, alongside officials Thomas Wesz, Anja Puchta, and psychological assistance director Patrick Kühne.

Accompanied by Stefano Anastasìa, the Guarantor for persons subject to restrictive liberty measures in Lazio, the delegation visited the Regina Coeli prison, the Rebibbia prison complex, and the Polluce Residence for the execution of security measures in Subiaco.

The mission is part of an ongoing collaboration between the Lazio Region and the Free State of Saxony, which was strengthened by a memorandum of understanding signed by Lazio President Francesco Rocca and Saxony Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer. The delegation engaged with prison management, healthcare staff, and educational personnel to discuss institutional operations.
