Sayonara Lara anime releases memorial visuals and special movie

Following the conclusion of the TV anime ‘Sayonara Lara’ on TOKYO MX, new commemorative content has been released for the series. Kinema Citrus, the animation studio celebrating its 15th anniversary, released a special memorial visual illustrated by character designer Shiori Tani. The artwork depicts a daily moment between the protagonist, Lara, and Mari Otsu, showing them riding a bicycle together.

In conjunction with the series finale, the musical group Ikimonogakari released a special memorial movie. The video features a re-edited compilation of iconic scenes from the anime set to the theme song ‘Sayonara Lara’.

A Blu-ray and DVD BOX set is scheduled for release on September 25, featuring production materials, including storyboards, making-of footage, and a discussion between director Takashi Koide, Shiori Tani, and creative producer Natsuki Moriyama.
