SB19 to become first Filipino act at Lollapalooza 2026
Filipino pop group SB19 is set to make history as the first homegrown act from the Philippines to perform at Lollapalooza 2026 in Chicago on July 30‑31. The Department of Tourism organized a free live‑viewing party at Rizal Park (Luneta) in Manila for fans unable to travel, with registration required and a QR‑code admission system.
Ahead of the festival, SB19 appeared on the Grammy Museum’s Global Spin Live series in Los Angeles, delivering a conversation and live renditions of “Gento” and “Wakas.” The group highlighted their journey, noting that the performance marked a milestone in bringing Filipino music to a global audience. Member Pablo said, “For almost 7 years now, one of our goals is to really introduce Filipino music all over the world.”
The band, recently appointed as tourism ambassadors, expressed gratitude to fans (A’TIN) and emphasized their aim to showcase Filipino culture on the world stage. Rehearsals in the United States have been documented, and the members described the upcoming Lollapalooza slot as a dream realized after years of effort.
