Sébastien Dano Djédjé placed under judicial supervision in Abidjan
Sébastien Dano Djédjé, the president of the Strategic and Political Council for the PPA-CI party and a former minister, has been placed under judicial supervision following an appearance before the anti-terrorism section of the Abidjan Court of First Instance on October 12, 2026.
According to his lawyer, Me Roselyne Serikpa, Djédjé faces approximately 17 charges. These allegations include threats to state security, murder, theft, destruction of public property, and participation in prohibited demonstrations. Some of the reported incidents are reportedly linked to events surrounding the October 2025 presidential election.
While the charges are serious, Djédjé was not detained and was permitted to return to his home. Under judicial supervision, he remains free but is subject to legal restrictions, which include a prohibition on leaving Ivory Coast without authorization from the investigating judge.
