Seth Quintero wins Rallye du Maroc; Oliver Solberg leads Rally Italia Sardegna

In the 2026 Rallye du Maroc, American driver Seth Quintero and co-driver Andrew Short secured a historic victory, becoming the first American-born driver to win the event. Driving for Toyota Gazoo Racing, Quintero managed his lead to finish ahead of teammates Joao Ferreira and Henk Lategan, marking a dominant performance for Toyota with a podium sweep in the Ultimate category.

Sébastien Loeb faced a difficult rally, suffering mechanical issues and losing a wheel just meters from the finish line during a battle for stage victory with Eryk Goczal. These setbacks impacted Loeb's championship aspirations in the W2RC.

Simultaneously, at the Rally Italia Sardegna, Oliver Solberg took the lead on Saturday, holding a 33.6-second advantage over Sébastien Ogier. The event saw significant drama as Thierry Neuville crashed out of the race, impacting the FIA World Rally Championship standings. Elfyn Evans maintains the overall championship lead, with Solberg and Sami Pajari closely following in the points race heading into the final day.
