Sébastien Ogier to return to WRC in Paraguay after Finland crash
Sébastien Ogier has confirmed his return to the World Rally Championship (WRC) in Paraguay next week following a high-speed accident at Rally Finland. While leading the event in his Toyota GR Yaris, Ogier and stand-in co-driver Julien Ingrassia went off the road and experienced multiple barrel rolls.
Both Ogier and Ingrassia were able to exit the vehicle without assistance and were transported to a hospital for observation. Although they emerged without major injuries, the crash ended their contention for the Finnish rally and impacted the championship standings.
Ogier expressed his readiness to compete again, stating, “I am ready to return and eager to be back behind the wheel. The accident was a difficult moment, but I am already focused on what comes next.” His participation in the upcoming rally in Paraguay is considered vital for his team's pursuit of manufacturer championship points.
