Sebastien Pocognoli appointed Scotland national team head coach
The Scottish Football Association has appointed Belgian coach Sebastien Pocognoli as the new head coach of the Scotland men’s national team. The 39-year-old signed an initial two-year contract, succeeding Steve Clarke, who resigned following Scotland’s group-stage exit from the 2026 World Cup.
Pocognoli, a former Belgium international, is the second foreign manager in Scotland’s history, following Germany’s Berti Vogts. He most recently managed AS Monaco in Ligue 1.
