SBI Group invests in DTCPay to expand stablecoin payments

Singapore-based DTCPay has completed a $25 million Series A funding round, bolstered by strategic investment from Japan’s SBI Group. SBI invested through its subsidiary, SBI Ventures Asset Pte Ltd, and the SBI-NTU-Kyobo Digital Innovation Fund.

The capital injection follows an initial tranche led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India. DTCPay intends to use the funds to expand its merchant network, enhance its enterprise business portal, and develop new consumer features. The company provides infrastructure that allows businesses and consumers to accept, hold, and transact in stablecoins and fiat via a real-time swap engine.

DTCPay operates as a regulated Major Payment Institution in Singapore and holds an Electronic Money Institution licence in Luxembourg. The partnership with SBI Group is expected to strengthen digital asset corridors between Japan and Southeast Asia.
