SBM Offshore Boosts 2026 Outlook After Petrobras FPSO Contracts

Dutch floating‑production specialist SBM Offshore raised its 2026 directional revenue forecast to about $7.6 billion, up from $6.9 billion, and its EBITDA target to $1.9 billion after securing new FPSO contracts from Brazil’s state‑run oil company Petrobras and completing the sale of the One Guyana vessel. First‑half directional revenue more than doubled to $4.9 billion, a 112 % year‑on‑year increase, while directional EBITDA rose 92 % to $1.3 billion. The pro‑forma directional backlog reached a record $35.6 billion and net debt fell to $3.7 billion from $5.7 billion at the end of 2025. CEO Øivind Tangen said the company has sufficient contingency to meet the upgraded guidance, and CFO Douglas Wood noted that Middle‑East tensions could further support demand for diversified energy supply. SBM shares jumped more than 7 % on the news.
