SBS announces ‘Our Ballad 2’ music audition season

SBS has announced the production details for ‘Our Ballad 2’, the second season of its highly successful music audition project. Following a first season that achieved top viewership ratings and over 100 million online views, the new season is scheduled to premiere on October 5 at 10:00 PM.

The upcoming season features a contestant pool with an average age of 17.9 years. Producers noted that while the participants are young, they bring a unique perspective to classic ballads spanning from 1985 to 2025. The program has also been expanded to a longer 2-hour and 40-minute format.

The judging panel, referred to as the ‘Top 100 Ears’, includes returning members Jun Hyun-moo, Jung Jae-hyung, Cha Tae-hyun, Park Kyung-rim, and Jung Seung-hwan. They are joined by new members Moon Geun-young, Joo Woo-jae, and Roy Kim. Moon Geun-young noted that the young age of the participants reminded her of her own early career beginnings.
