SBS drama 'The Long Shot Trial' postponed amid Ha Young controversy

The broadcast schedule for the SBS legal comedy 'The Long Shot Trial' has been postponed. Originally slated for release in the first half of next year, the network confirmed that the schedule has been adjusted, though a specific new timeframe has not yet been determined.

The delay follows controversy surrounding actress Ha Young, whose great-grandfather was identified as Ahn Sang Ho, a figure known for pro-Japanese activities during the Japanese colonial period. Ha Young previously issued a handwritten apology regarding her family history and voluntarily stepped down from the Netflix series 'The Trauma Code: Heroes On Call'.

'The Long Shot Trial' is an adaptation of a Japanese drama. The series stars Lee Je Hoon as Kwon Baek, a former lawyer turned law office manager, and Ha Young as Yeo Shim Hee, a hardworking rookie lawyer.
