SBT to broadcast UEFA Super Cup on August 12

Brazilian television network SBT announced it will air the UEFA Super Cup on 12 August as part of its 2026/27 European football coverage. The broadcast will be complemented by the network’s streaming platform +SBT and feature Tiago Leifert as the main commentator, with analysis from former player Alexandre Pato, commentary by sports journalist Mauro Beting, and refereeing insight from Nadine Bastos.

SBT highlighted its recent success with UEFA Champions League programming, which reached more than 51 million viewers nationwide and generated 79 million digital interactions. The Super Cup broadcast is positioned as the kickoff to the upcoming UEFA Champions League season, which begins in September 2026.

The final of the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League is slated for 5 June 2027 at Madrid’s Metropolitano Stadium.
