SBVA recruits former SoftBank Vision Fund experts to boost global investment

SBVA has appointed two former SoftBank Vision Fund experts, Chris Lee and Kaz Yoshimaru, as venture partners to strengthen its global investment capabilities and support portfolio companies in international market expansion.

Chris Lee, who previously held roles at CVC Capital Partners and GIC, will focus on identifying co-investment opportunities in Southeast Asia, establishing new funds, and assisting portfolio companies with local market entry. His experience includes investments in Asian growth companies such as Yanolja, Carro, and bKash.

Kaz Yoshimaru, an MBA graduate from Harvard Business School, will leverage his experience with the SoftBank US investment team to identify US tech opportunities and design strategies for new US-focused funds. He will also facilitate the expansion of US technology firms into the Japanese market, drawing on his history of supporting companies like Databricks, Wiz, and Perplexity.
