SBY Art Community hosts international art exhibition in Jakarta

The SBY Art Community (SAC) has launched an international art exhibition titled ‘Art for Peace and a Better Future: Collaboration’ at Taman Ismail Marzuki in Jakarta. Running from August 18 to August 30, 2026, the event features approximately 150 works from 27 local artists and international contributors.

The exhibition emphasizes themes of peace, humanity, the environment, and a better future. It highlights a cultural collaboration between Indonesia and Germany, involving German artist Christopher Lehmpfuhl and the Kornfeld Galerie Berlin. This partnership aims to strengthen artistic ties between Jakarta and Berlin.

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung attended the opening, stating that such collaborations are essential for developing Jakarta’s identity as a global city. He noted that the exhibition serves as a platform for exchanging creative ideas and perspectives on nature and culture.
