SC Beira-Mar advances in Taça de Portugal after penalty shootout

SC Beira-Mar advanced to the next round of the Taça de Portugal after defeating União de Lamas in a penalty shootout following a 3-3 draw. Beira-Mar held a commanding 3-0 lead during the match, with goals from David Oliveira and Didi, but Lamas staged a late comeback.

Mário Henrique reduced the deficit to 3-1 shortly after Didi's goal, and Lamas scored twice more in the final minutes to force extra time. In the ensuing penalty shootout, Beira-Mar secured a 5-4 victory after goalkeeper Diogo Almeida saved a shot from Kiko and Daniel Rodriguez missed his attempt. Beira-Mar will next face the winner of the match between Lusitano de Évora and Belenenses.
