SC Braga and Sporting CP face off in Primeira Liga

SC Braga and Sporting CP are scheduled to face each other in a Primeira Liga match at the Estádio Municipal de Braga on Friday, October 9, 2026.

SC Braga enters the match sitting sixth in the league standings with 11 points from six matches. The team has remained unbeaten in 11 of their last 12 matches across all competitions, including a recent qualification for the UEFA Conference League group stages. Their most recent league outing resulted in a goalless draw against Santa Clara.

Sporting CP currently holds third place in the league with 15 points from seven matches. Despite being one of only three unbeaten sides in the league this season, the team has recently struggled to maintain leads, most notably conceding a late equalizer in a 2-2 draw against Arouca. Historically, Sporting CP holds a superior head-to-head record against Braga, with 33 wins in their last 58 meetings.
