Noah Atubolu attracts transfer interest from Marseille and Eintracht Frankfurt

SC Freiburg goalkeeper Noah Atubolu is the subject of intense transfer interest from several European clubs. Olympique Marseille recently had an opening bid rejected by Freiburg, which is reportedly seeking a fee between €15m and €20m for the 24-year-old. Marseille faces competition from English side AFC Bournemouth and Italian clubs Napoli and Juventus, with reports indicating Atubolu’s representatives have already traveled to Italy for discussions.

In the Bundesliga, Eintracht Frankfurt has emerged as a potential destination. Following a heavy 0-7 pre-season defeat against Brentford, Frankfurt is reportedly looking for a new primary goalkeeper to replace or compete with Kauã Santos and Michael Zetterer. Atubolu has been described as Frankfurt’s “Wunschlösung” (preferred solution). While Atubolu has previously expressed a desire to move to the Premier League, a domestic transfer to Frankfurt remains a possibility.

Atubolu, who joined the Freiburg academy in 2015, is under contract until June 2027. Freiburg has already prepared for his potential departure by signing Mio Backhaus from Werder Bremen.
