SC Heerenveen players express high ambitions for Eredivisie season
SC Heerenveen players Vasilios Zagaritis and Braude have expressed strong ambitions for the current Eredivisie season, aiming for both a top-five league finish and a cup victory.
Vasilios Zagaritis, a 25-year-old left-back, noted that while the team has dropped points against lower-ranked clubs, recent progress in their play suggests they are capable of competing with teams currently above them in the standings. Zagaritis also reflected on his personal situation, noting he had previously been close to a return to Panathinaikos before remaining with the club.
Braude, a 22-year-old Norwegian player, emphasized the importance of establishing a winning streak to climb the league table and achieve the club's goal of qualifying for European football. Braude stated that the squad possesses high quality and a strong winning mentality in the locker room. Regarding his professional future, Braude indicated he is currently focused on his performance on the pitch rather than contract negotiations, noting his current deal runs until the summer with an option for an additional season.
