SC Tipos Žarnovica pursues historic Extraliga title

The competition for the Czech Extraliga title reaches its conclusion on Sunday, October 11. SC Tipos Žarnovica is a primary contender, aiming to achieve a historic third consecutive title following victories in the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

To secure the championship, Žarnovica must win decisively, and the team from Prague must finish no higher than third place with at least an eight-point deficit from the leader. The Žarnovica roster features a strong lineup, including 2021 World Champion Artem Laguta, 2017 World Champion Jason Doyle, and Martin Vaculík, who recently secured a bronze medal in the Polish Ekstraliga.

Competing against them is Pardubice, led by two-time European Champion Andžejs Lebedevs, along with Václav Milík and Timo Lahti. The final standings for the Prague and Slaný teams remain to be determined, though both are expected to field high-quality rosters.
