SCAJ Coffee Exhibition features specialty plantations from Chiayi, Taiwan

The SCAJ International Coffee Exhibition, one of Asia's largest coffee industry events, is currently being held at Tokyo Big Sight. The event features approximately 500 companies showcasing various aspects of the specialty coffee industry, including new brewing technologies, coffee pairings, and international beans.

Representing Taiwan, the Chiayi County Government has established the ‘Taste Chiayi’ pavilion, featuring eight high-quality coffee plantations. The pavilion aims to facilitate trade and professional exchange between Taiwanese producers and Japanese buyers. The participating estates include Yiyou Basi, Zaozhuyuan, and Liansheng Chengqing Aoye, among others.

To deepen Taiwan-Japan industry cooperation, the Chiayi County Government organized professional cupping sessions from October 14 to 17, presenting 24 representative specialty coffees. The initiative focuses on the ‘premiumization, branding, and internationalization’ of Chiayi's coffee industry to increase its global visibility.
