Scalea opens registrations for Premio Azzurra 2026 painting competition

The second edition of the Premio Azzurra 2026, an extemporaneous painting competition titled ‘Scalea vista con gli occhi dell’arte’, is now accepting registrations. The event is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, in Scalea.

Organized by the Scalea municipal administration, the competition invites artists to capture the city's landscapes, sea, and history through live painting. Participants will receive canvases, with registration fees set at 10 euros for adults and free for minors. Works will be exhibited at Palazzo Spinelli following the competition, with cash prizes awarded to the top three adult winners and art kits for the youth category winners. The event is sponsored by Azzurra Srl.
