SCANDAL announces disbandment for August 2027

The Japanese all-female rock band SCANDAL has announced that they will cease activities on August 21, 2027. The announcement follows the group's 20th anniversary celebrations, including a recent concert at Osaka Castle Hall.

The four members—HARUNA, MAMI, TOMOMI, and RINA—stated that after much discussion, they feel they have accomplished everything they could achieve together through their two decades of music and global travel.

To mark their final chapter, the band will embark on a nationwide tour across all 47 Japanese prefectures starting this October. Their farewell activities will culminate in a final solo concert at Yokohama Arena on August 21, 2027, coinciding with their 21st anniversary. The group is well-known for their contributions to various anime series, including 'Bleach' and 'Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood'.
