Scandiano hosts 30-kilometer peace march
Approximately 150 people participated in a peace march that spanned 30 kilometers, connecting the locations of Quattro Castella, Albinea, Scandiano, and Casalgrande. The procession, accompanied by flag-bearers from the Maestà della Battaglia association, passed through the center of Scandiano.
In Scandiano, participants were met by primary school students and over 50 colorful cubes created by local classes to reflect on the theme of peace. Scandiano Mayor Matteo Nasciuti emphasized the importance of teaching peace to children and practicing it in daily life to help de-escalate both local and global conflicts.
The march was preceded by morning events focused on human rights, including the inauguration of the “Abbasso la guerra” exhibition and a musical reading by the Centro Teatrale Ma. Mi. Mo.
