Scandic and Hilton renew strategic partnership in Nordic region

Scandic Hotels Group and Hilton have entered into a multi-year strategic development agreement to expand their presence across the Nordic region, specifically targeting Denmark, Finland, Sweden, and Norway.

The partnership aims to leverage Hilton’s global brand recognition and international distribution with Scandic’s established local operational platform and market knowledge. Rather than a broad conversion of Scandic’s 320 properties, the agreement focuses on individual development opportunities and specific projects.

A primary project under this agreement is the construction of a new 284-room Hilton Hotels & Resorts near Copenhagen Airport, scheduled to open in 2029. Scandic will operate this hotel through a franchise agreement. Additionally, the companies are exploring potential shared benefits for members of the Hilton Honors and Scandic Friends loyalty programs.
