Scandinavian outdoor events scheduled for September

Various outdoor activities are scheduled across Scandinavia for early September. In Denmark, Naturstyrelsen is hosting a night walk in Slotved Skov near Sindal on September 5. The event includes a discussion about nocturnal forest life, refreshments, and a guided walk to observe animals such as deer, foxes, owls, bats, and badgers.

In Norway, Norsk Friluftsliv is organizing ‘Natt i Naturen’ (Night in Nature) on September 5, inviting citizens to sleep outdoors in forests, mountains, or even their own gardens. This event marks the beginning of ‘Friluftsliv week,’ which runs from September 5 to 13. The week also includes ‘Friluftslivets dag’ and ‘Soppens dag’ (Mushroom Day) on September 6, as well as a cleanup initiative from September 11 to 13.
