Scania 770S leads ranking of most powerful trucks in Brazil

Brazil's freight transport system relies heavily on road transport, with the heavy-duty vehicle segment accounting for over 48% of the total truck market. This sector requires high-performance engines and modern transmissions to move loads of up to 74 tons.

The Scania 770S is currently the most powerful truck sold in the Brazilian market. It features a 16-liter V8 diesel engine producing 770 horsepower and 3,700 Nm of torque. While the engine is manufactured in Sweden, the vehicle is assembled in São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil.

Other leading models in the high-power segment include the Scania Super 560, the Volvo FH 540—which is noted as a top-selling heavy truck in the country—the Iveco S-Way, and the DAF XF 530. These vehicles are essential for the agribusiness sector and industrial logistics due to their high traction capacities and fuel efficiency technologies.
