Scania Argentina opens upgraded service point in Olavarría
Scania Argentina inaugurated a renovated service point in Olavarría, Buenos Aires Province, after investing USD 800,000. The upgraded facility covers 1,127 m², including a 497 m² workshop with nine service bays, a 3,800 m² maneuvering area, a truck wash, lubricant depot and a waste‑water treatment system. The parts depot capacity was doubled and a new driver lounge and LED lighting were added.
The opening ceremony was attended by Olavarría mayor Maximiliano Wesner, municipal officials, Scania’s CEO Sebastián Figueroa, regional director Ignacio Arellano and other company representatives. The site, staffed by 15 employees and a newly appointed Service Manager, is positioned to support transport of cereals, livestock, construction materials and shipments to the Vaca Muerta oil field, reinforcing Scania’s technical network in a key logistics corridor.
