Scania delivers Super 11 agitator trucks to G&H Civil Contractors
Scania has delivered the first of two agitator-bodied trucks powered by its new Super 11 powertrain to Queensland-based G&H Civil Contractors. These vehicles are the first Scania agitators to reach customers following the recent launch of the Super 11 engine.
The trucks will support G&H Civil Contractors’ piling operations in Southport, Queensland, by delivering cement supplies. According to Scania, the 8x4 agitator offers a lightweight, high-performance engine, extended service intervals, and improved durability compared to the previous five-cylinder 9-litre powertrain.
G&H Civil Contractors acquired the agitators to maintain a constant supply of concrete for their continuous flight auger piling rigs. Edel Waters, the company’s Systems and Compliance Manager, noted that owning the agitators reduces reliance on outside suppliers, minimizes downtime, and allows for better control over project schedules.
