Scania expands Super line with 11-liter engine and new waste collection truck

Scania has announced expansions to its Super product line and the introduction of a new vocational model, both set for official launch at Fenatran 2026. The Super line, previously limited to 13-liter engines, will now include an 11-liter engine option. This new engine is designed for increased simplicity and robustness, featuring a thermal management system that eliminates the need for exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and intake throttles. Available in 390 cv and 430 cv power ratings, the engine supports 4x2, 6x2, 6x4, and 8x2 configurations.

Additionally, Scania introduced the P 280 XT, a specialized truck for urban waste collection powered by natural gas or biomethane. This model features a factory-developed 6x2/2 auxiliary axle using super single tires to reduce weight and increase payload capacity. To enhance safety and efficiency in urban environments, the P 280 XT includes disc brakes on all wheels, the Scania Retarder auxiliary brake, and a cabin certified for four occupants.
