Scania expands Super truck line with new 11-liter engines in Brazil
Scania has announced the expansion of its heavy-duty truck lineup in Brazil with the introduction of the Scania Super 11-liter engine range. The new models are scheduled to debut at the Fenatran 2026 international freight transport trade fair, held at the São Paulo Expo.
The new 11-liter powertrain will offer two power options: 390 cv and 430 cv. These engines are designed to serve various transport niches, including general cargo, e-commerce, light construction, and specialized food transport such as refrigerated goods and poultry products. Available configurations include 4x2, 6x2, 6x4, and 8x2 axle setups.
Technological features of the new range include the Opticruise G25 14-speed automated gearbox, variable valve timing (VVT) to optimize fuel consumption and reduce emissions, and a compression release brake to assist in deceleration. The design also prioritizes maintenance ease by positioning fuel and oil filters in a more accessible, cooler area of the engine block to increase vehicle availability.
