Scania to supply battery packs for Prinoth electric snow groomers

Scania has entered into a long-term agreement with Italian snow groomer manufacturer Prinoth, a member of the High Technology Industries (HTI) Group, to supply Core 800 battery packs. This partnership aims to accelerate the electrification of snow grooming equipment.

The Core 800 lithium-ion battery packs will power two specific electric models: the Husky E-Motion and the Leitwolf E-Motion. The Husky E-Motion, which has utilized these packs since 2023, is recognized as the first market-ready fully electric snow groomer and has been deployed in Norway, France, Italy, the UK, and the US.

The Leitwolf E-Motion, launched in April 2026, is designed for higher energy and power requirements. It features a runtime of approximately five hours under real working conditions and supports fast-charging from 10% to 80% in about one hour. The Core 800 packs feature integrated liquid cooling, a proprietary battery management system, and a modular design capable of scaling from 21 kWh to 624 kWh.
