Scanway and ONDE report significant backlog growth

Scanway and ONDE have reported significant developments in their order backlogs and financial performance for the first half of 2026.

Scanway reported a 43% year-on-year increase in its backlog, reaching 66.5 million PLN. This growth was driven by a major contract with an Asian client valued at approximately 40 million PLN. Despite the growing backlog, the company recorded sales revenue of 9.6 million PLN for the first half of 2026, a decrease of 1.5 million PLN compared to the previous year. Scanway also reported a net loss of 7.4 million PLN for the period, noting that rising operational costs reflect the increased scale and complexity of ongoing projects.

ONDE achieved a record backlog of 1.4 billion PLN by the end of August, following the acquisition of 460 million PLN in orders during the first half of 2026 and an additional 750 million PLN at the start of the third quarter. The company has become a major player in the energy storage segment, securing five contracts for battery storage with a total potential of 1.5 GW. ONDE also secured its first wind farm contract in Romania and signed a development-sell-build agreement with a company from the Orlen Group.
