Scanway and Pixxel expand strategic space technology partnership
Polish company Scanway has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Indian firm Pixxel to expand their strategic cooperation regarding advanced optical payloads. The agreement, signed on October 23, 2026, was finalized during a Polish economic mission to India attended by Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Domański.
The partnership aims to develop next-generation optical instruments, including technologies for visible and infrared light, to support future satellite constellations. The companies intend to collaborate on international projects, specifically targeting markets in Europe, and will focus on Earth observation, space exploration missions, and space situational awareness (SSA/SDA).
This expansion builds upon an existing contract where Scanway provides a series of imaging telescopes to Pixxel. The collaboration involves participation from the Polish Space Agency (POLSA) and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
