Óscar de la Cruz seeks to repeat strikeout leadership with Estrellas Orientales

Pitcher Óscar de la Cruz has returned to the Estrellas Orientales minicamp with the goal of repeating his strikeout leadership from the previous season. The right-hander, who was a key part of the rotation last year, intends to maintain his current preparation methods to lead the team's pitching staff during the 2026-27 tournament.

De la Cruz maintained his competitive rhythm over the summer while playing in the Mexican League before joining the Dominican winter league training sessions. He noted that the minicamp is essential for regaining sharpness and physical readiness for the upcoming season. He also highlighted the positive, harmonious atmosphere within the team as they prepare for the new championship.
