Scarlet Lady cruise ship involved in minor collision in Rhodes

The Virgin Voyages cruise ship Scarlet Lady was involved in a minor maritime incident at the port of Rhodes, Greece. Due to adverse weather conditions, the vessel arrived a day earlier than scheduled. During docking, the ship experienced a fender breakage and made contact with the catamaran ‘King of Rhodes’ and two smaller vessels moored nearby.

The captain managed to maneuver the ship back to its berth without reported injuries or marine pollution. Port authorities in Rhodes prohibited both vessels from departing following the incident.

Following its time in Greece, the Scarlet Lady departed from Piraeus on the afternoon of Sunday, September 27, flying a large Greek flag as it left the harbor. The ship had completed a seven-day cruise including stops in Rhodes, Bodrum, Mykonos, and Santorini, and is scheduled to return to Piraeus on October 4.
