Scary Movie 6 extended version released on Paramount+

The sixth installment of the Scary Movie franchise has arrived on Paramount+, featuring an extended version for streaming subscribers. This new version includes additional scenes inspired by recent horror productions such as Smile and Squid Game, alongside expanded sequences and new dialogue intended to heighten the film's comedic intensity.

The film marks the return of the Wayans brothers—Marlon, Shawn, and Keenen Ivory Wayans—to the franchise's creative process for the first time since 2001. The plot follows characters Cindy Campbell (Anna Faris) and Brenda Meeks (Regina Hall) as they face a familiar masked killer. The production parodies modern horror hits including Terrifier, Longlegs, and Sinners.

Following its theatrical release, the film earned approximately $230 million worldwide against an estimated budget of $30 million. The streaming release includes both the original theatrical cut and the extended edition.
