Scenic landscapes of France and Montenegro highlighted
Europe offers diverse scenic landscapes ranging from the dramatic cliffs of France to the historic coastal towns of the Balkans.
In France, the Gorges du Tarn stands as one of the continent's longest and most spectacular canyons. Featuring cliffs reaching 500 meters above the river, the area is known for its lush vegetation, diverse birdlife including vultures, and various orchid species. The region includes medieval towns like Saint-Chély-du-Tarn and a 300 km hiking trail that connects the Tarn sources to Albi.
Montenegro provides a different landscape characterized by the Bay of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage site with a medieval old town. Other notable landmarks include the Ostrog Monastery, which is built directly into a vertical rock wall, and the historic former capital of Cetinje. The country also features Lovćen National Park and the royal palace of King Nicholas.
